Kirsten Slyter’s website serves as a central hub for her writing portfolio. The design is neutral but aesthetically pleasing. The site has various pages for different types of writing and features several projects, clearly laid out and organized.

This portfolio site is built on WordPress and includes over 100 lines of custom CSS. I also created some custom graphics for the website, including the stylized name logo and the site footer logo.

I freelanced with Collegis Education to write blog content on behalf of Rasmussen University on a variety of subjects, including business, nursing, design, and education. For each article, I researched the topic and explained it in an informative and understandable way to match Rasmussen's brand voice. Every blog post was structured around search engine keywords, which I incorporated into the content along with other SEO practices.

I updated the design of the Twin Cities Praise Symphony's website to match the aesthetic of their parent organization's other websites. I focused on creating a modern, clean design as I incorporated the existing content on their site. For this project, I used Weebly's website builder and adjusted the theme's CSS as needed.

The Twin Cities Praise Symphony is a nondenominational studio orchestra performing Christian music around the Twin Cities. Their concerts are 100% free to attend, and they collect a free-will offering to donate to a ministry of the host church's choosing.

Psalm 150 Ministries is a music ministry non-profit. I created their website, wrote most of the website copy, and provide continuing support for the site. This project incorporated website design on the WordPress platform, custom CSS, copywriting, copyediting, and graphic design.

While redesigning Elevāt's website, I also edited some of their existing materials for grammar and style. This page is a sample of that editing.

This is a sample of the product copy I wrote for a variety of items for Elevāt. With incorporated SEO keywords, this copy includes a prose description of the item, 3 easy-to-read bullet points, and a description of the artisan/partner that made the item. Elevāt is a small business selling fair trade accessories and clothing. For this project, I redesigned their website using the SquareSpace platform. I worked on their page layout, fixed problems that arose when converting the old template to the new template, and selected photos for the new website. Throughout this process, I ensured the new site fit with Elevāt's branding, which included everything from color scheme to writing. This meant I edited Elevāt's existing website copy, working on grammar and style.
